Keeping Track of Seniority Points
Deadline: October 10
The Seniority List was published by the University in July.If you have not already done so, please check the list to ensure that your seniority points match the report.
The points on the website are up to date as of July 2019, so any courses ending after July are not included. Also, points for the 2019-2020 academic year are not included.
In case of error, please send a notice of disagreement that includes your name, employee number, uOttawa email address, and contact information to vra.affairesprofessorales@uottawa.ca no later than October 10. Please also include a record of your courses taught, and cc the Association when you send it.

Fall 2020 Tuition Fee Credit
Deadline: September 30
If you wish to apply for the Tuition Fee Credit Plan, you have until September 30 to do so.
The Tuition Fee Credit Plan reimburses a portion of the tuition fees for students registered at uOttawa who are the child or the spouse of a Part-Time Professor. If the Part-Time Professor is a part-time student at uOttawa, they too may apply for the credit.

APTPUO Extended Health Insurance
Deadline: September 30
This message is to inform you that the enrolment period for the APTPUO Extended Health Insurance ends on September 30, 2020.

Employee Card
Your employee card gives you access to the services at the University (library, gym, etc.). It also gives you access to discounts described on the University website. If you lost your card, or if you are a new employee, you can get a new one with Human Resources. Please visit HR’s Infodesk, located in Tabaret Hall, room 019.
Pension Plan
Deadline: Preferably as soon as possible.
APTPUO members who have worked during the previous calendar year have access to the University’s Pension Plan.
To enroll in the plan, please contact Human Resources directly by calling 613 562-5832 or by emailing hrbenefits@uottawa.ca.
There is no deadline to enroll in the plan. However, the Association strongly encourages members to enroll at the beginning of the session to avoid having to pay all contributions at once later in the semester.
Departmental Representatives
Each year, each department designates a part-time faculty representative to sit on departmental assemblies. If you are interested in becoming a representative or would like more information, please contact your department.
Department representatives receive one seniority point per academic year for their service.

#ScholarStrike
The APTPUO stands in solidarity with the thousands of professors and university employees who are mobilizing in union action, in the name of the “Scholar Strike”, to advocate against anti-black, racist and colonial police brutality in the United States and Canada.
The “Scholar Strike” will take place over a two-day period from Wednesday, September 9 to Thursday, September 10, 2020, during which teaching, and all administrative tasks will be interrupted.
