Letter of Understanding on the Impact of Student Evaluations for the Fall Term 2020

The Association has been able to renew the letters of understanding regarding student evaluations used to evaluate remote education.

Hence, the evaluations will not be considered in a detrimental way for members who teach one or more courses in the Fall term. The Association has signed a letter of understanding with the employer for all bargaining units to disregard student evaluations that may be negatively affected by distance education.

You can view the letters of understanding here (French documents *the letters of understanding are presented in the language in which they were negotiated).

Teaching Assistant & Large Classes

How much compensation am I entitled to receive?

We are well aware that many of you have experienced difficulties in determining the exact number of hours for assistance or markers to which you are entitled or the compensation you may receive in lieu of adequate support. To simplify the task, the Association has designed two automatic calculators to do the calculation of the compensation for you. All you need to do is provide a few details about the course in question.

Try the calculators here:

Should you not have received the right number of hours of assistance and have not been adequately compensated by your department, we invite you to communicate with your department and add the Association in cc: info@aptpuo.ca.
