    I wanted to link an excellent article by Florence Darby, “How to be a more effective online teacher: advice guide” in the Chronicle of Higher Education.

    One of the things I really like about Darby’s article is that it is written from the perspective of experience and wisdom as opposed to the jargon of pedagogy or the idea of training and ‘mastery.’ The other thing about her “Guide” is that it clearly explains how the move online shifts the social dynamics of the classroom and how understanding this quantum shift represents the key to navigating the transition and retaining your authentic teaching persona.
